I first laid ears on Kindred, the husband and wife powerhouse, about 7 or 8 years ago at Philly’s soul music circuit The Black Lily.  At the time, I was all in love and identified with songs like Far Away and Life is a Rhythm. Well, that relationship has long ago ended, but Kindred The Family Soul have continued to create music for the lover in all of us.

Kindred’s third album House of Love keeps the spirit of good ol’ fashion, slow dance in the kitchen while the fried chicken pops, we got an hour between when the kids go to school and we’re off to work let’s sneak a freak (sophomore album), grown and sexy crown royal on ice, kinda love.

If you ask Mz.Soul, every Kindred album is just like the other, it’s like listening to one long love story pressed to a CD–and I say that in a good way great way, an almost perfect way. Aja and Fatin, Kindred the Family Soul have the formula for a good album and good love and they aren’t afraid to give us a taste!
